Profile

A dark, moodily-lit piano adorned with candles for a classic ambiance.

Adam Adamian is a film composer based in the Netherlands.

His work focuses on narrative-driven scores where music listens to the picture — intimate piano themes, dark suspense textures, and orchestral drama for film, documentary and visual storytelling.

He discovered the power of music to image early. At 10 years old he started putting music under his family’s home videos. Simple, everyday footage suddenly became cozy and heartwarming. That was his first lesson in how music changes the way we see a story.

After formal studies in music with a focus on composition, he began working professionally for film, animation, trailers and commercials.

His influences include Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell), Ennio Morricone, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Joe Hisaishi and Hans Zimmer — composers who understand that restraint can be more powerful than volume.

Today he works from his studio in the Netherlands, creating bespoke scores and releasing original works including Zwarte Sporen, Providentia and Hero’s Call.
